designed by Marsha White
Sanquhar-inspired Scarf and Hand Warmers
feature two-colour patterns from a sampler of Sanquhar patterns, both traditional designs in Sanquhar gloves.
Knit in dark and light colours the distinctive Sanquhar patterning creates a striking look.
The textured purl patterns echo the squares and diamonds so often prevalent in Sanquhar knitted works.
The patterns used in the hand portion of the hand warmers are smaller versions of stitch patterns used in the scarf. The cuff is a ribbing of small purl diamonds and squares. Between the cuff and hand sections, a change of needle size and increase of stitches shapes to fit the hand.
