Inspired by the multicolor work of several European knitting traditions, there are 12 sweater designs, each beautiful. The plentiful swatches of stitch and colour samples, and illustrated history of each knitting tradition both add to the inspiration of this book. No doubt the text is equally as interesting - but alas is in Japanese. There are also some great photos of knitting tools. All the photos are excellent! Each sweater is fully charted with clear schematics. NOTE: As with many Japanese garment designs, they are only charted for one size, and the knitter has to re-calculate for their desired size. No problem for the Adventurous knitter, eh!
