Inspired by traditional Guernsey and Aran knitting traditions, there are 12 sweater designs, several updated with unique designer elements. Some of the unique design features include: on the cover Aran cardigan, the closing is offset to the right side of the garment; on the red cardigan shown on the right the sleeves have a textural ribbing section above the cuff, which is edged in bobbles and finished with seed stitch; and in the cream pullover shown below the cuff has a twisted stitch pattern in diamonds, and the the sweater bottom a combination of the same diamond pattern on either side of a textural hem section - gorgeous!! All the photos are excellent! Each sweater is fully charted with clear schematics. NOTE: As with many Japanese garment designs, they are only charted for one size, and the knitter has to re-calculate for their desired size. No problem for the Adventurous Knitter, eh!
