Free - Interpreting Japanese Knitting Patterns I am very pleased to offer you a free PDF 8 page information brochure that I have written on Interpreting Japanese Knitting Patterns . Enjoy! The first section of this issue is called "I Love White Knit" with 6 designs for sweaters, skirts, hats in white lace, bobbles, cables, plus a crocheted sweater with knit hem, cuffs and collar - one of the cardigans is shown on the left. The other patterns in the book, (approx. 50+ patterns in all) comprise a variety of styles and skill levels - simple pullover knits and cardigans to complex lace and knit / purl designs. There are also some crochet patterns included, plus a section on knits for men. A full colour page is devoted to each design, often with gorgeous backdrops/settings. Some of the most interesting patterns include the dramatically styled cardigan below right, knit in an interesting lace/knit/purl boxes; and elegant and stylish cardigan with lace scallop borders and a fine knit/purl texture in the centre front, back and sleeves, shown on the right; and a pullover brimming with frills and bobbles shown below right. Important Info: each pattern is coded with pink hearts which reflect the level of difficulty, and beside this in a box is the page # where the pattern is. (note that patterns in the back section are not listed in numerical order, so knowing that the page number for the instructions is listed with the photo can save you valuable time.) Though written entirely in Japanese, there are clear charts to follow - recommended for the knitter who loves a challenge! NOTE: As with many Japanese garment designs, they are only charted for one or 2 sizes, and the knitter has to re-calculate for their desired size.
