Lacy crocheted vests, elegant knit pullovers, and crocheted lacy bolero style jackets - 33 projects in all. The projects are roughly split between knit and crochet, and the crocheted sweaters are far more intriguing and inspiring than the crochet designs one sees in local books. Great stitch combinations and garment styling many of the projects. On the cover sweater, which uses a rib cable design, the designer has cleverly used lace in the bottom section ribbing to widen the garment around the hip section and the sleeve cuffs. The cabled vest on the right becomes a very feminine garment with the frilled hem and collar. Textural patterning in the ribbed pullover below breaks up the horizontal lines of the yarn patterning, and softens the striping in the yarn. Each sweater is fully charted with clear schematics. NOTE: As with many Japanese garment designs, they are often only charted for one size, and the knitter has to re-calculate for their desired size. You can also view more at the publisher's web site
