"The main objective of this book is to provide hand-knitters with a large variety of new cable stitch patterns. The focus is on wide, intricate, central panels, as there always seems to be a limited choice available; over the years the same ones have been used repeatedly in msay different garments.There are also some distinctive smaller cables, and a selection of straight-sided panels to use with ribbing or lace inserts. Simple basic cable patterns are not given, as they are commonly available in many other knitting stitch pattern books. To my knowledge the cable designs in this book are all new, and I haven't published any of them before now.
Also included here is my personal insight on the subject of knitting and designing with cables. Basic structure, knitting techniques, and practical applications are described.
