Starting out as a fashion designer, Marion Foale and her partner Sally Tuffin created a successful fashion business in the 1960's in London UK. In the early 80's Marion started designing hand knits creating stunning classic collections of garments. Her style is tailored hand knits that are highly regarded for their design details and finishing.
Many of the sweaters are knit in fine yarn, 3 ply, at a gauge of 34 stitches to 4 inches, creating beautiful draping fabrics. Other sweaters call for doubled 3 ply at a gauge of 25 stitches to 4 inches.
