Here is the cardigan spread out and a back view below to show the lace patterning. A detail of the sleeve cuff is below right, showing how it comes to an attractive point over the hand. The button band allows you to use as few as 8 buttons or as many as 17, since the eyelet detail serves as buttonholes. Buttons are sewn over the corresponding eyelet holes on the other side and no tedious marking or measuring for button placement is required.
