Feather Light Shawls
Fiddlesticks Knitting Patterns and Yarns

These small, delicate shawls are slightly crescent-shaped, which helps them to stay in place - their delicate wings will settle as light as feathers on your shoulders.

Both stocking stitch shawls are worked by casting on stitches at the top edge of a central panel, then increasing to create a shape that curves into a slight crescent. The simple garter stitch edging is knit as a continuation of the body, and pinned into little points when blocked. Dewdrops Shawl at top is worked in Aquamarine. Rosevine Shawl below is worked in Wisteria.

Design Details                   

Recommended yarn: 1 ball of Fiddlesticks Knitting Exquisite for each shawl (laceweight - 50% mulberry silk, 50% merino wool) each ball approx. 50 g / 500 m.

Finished size of each shawl: Approximately 53 inches long and 15 inches deep

Needles:
3 mm (US 2 or 3) needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
