Inky-dinky Spider Stole - details

Inky-dinky Spider Stole

Here you can see the entire stole, from the little "spiders" at the ends (Shetland lace stitch called Spider Lace, also known as Bird's Eye or Ring Lace), to the webs in the body of the stole (lace stitch called Spider Webs).

The top lace edging (narrow end) is knit first, then stitches are picked up along it and the body is knit, incorporating the side lace edging as you go. Finally, the bottom lace edging is knit sideways onto the live stitches of the stole.
