The Paisley Long Shawl was inspired by the designs of the beautiful woven paisley shawls of the 19th century. It is an interpretation in lace of a long shawl dating from about 1820, and features original lace motifs of botehs (the small motifs filling the middle ground of the shawl) and larger paisley patterns.
This is a garter stitch shawl with every row knit. It is started from a provisional cast on at the middle and worked to one end. Then stitches are picked up from the provisional cast on and the shawl is worked to the other end, creating a symmetrical design, after which an optional fringe is added.

Addi Turbo Lace Knitting Circular Needles
These excellent needles from Addi Turbo offer you enhanced features for lace, sock, and texture knitting. They have sharp tips making it easier to work fine stitches; the needles are coated to give just the right amount of 'stick' so you have better control of lace stitches; and they have smooth joins between the needles and cord.
When selecting a needle size note that while the pattern has a suggested size (see above for Recommended needle size), you may need to use a different needle size in order to get gauge. If your experience with other Fiddlesticks patterns is that you have to go up or down a needle size to match gauge, then select the appropriate size.
