Persian Mystique Scarves
Fiddlesticks Knitting Patterns and Yarns

Redesigned for "Enticing" yarn, the Persian Mystique scarves "turn a new leaf!"

The leaf motif surrounded by lacy filigree, suggestive of the beautiful screens and grillwork of the East, evokes a feeling of "Arabian Nights" romance.

The rectangular scarf (right) begins with a provisional cast on for the first edging, after which it is knit to the other end and finished with I-cord. Finished size is approximately 10 inches wide and 63 inches long. Both scarves are worked in stocking stitch.

Design Details                   

Recommended yarn: 2 balls Fiddlesticks Knitting Enticing (70% merino, 10% silk, 20% angora) each ball 50 g / 240 m

Needles:
3.5 mm (US 4) needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: with 3.5 mm needles over lace pattern (special chart provided in pattern): 4 stitches and 6 rows = 1 inch

The triangular scarf (right) begins by casting on at the lower edge, after which rows are decreased to create the triangular shape. I-cord finishes the top edge. Finished size is approximately 60 inches across top and 27 inches down centre.
