The Romance Shawl features pretty stocking stitch lace patterns specially designed to create a romantic impression. There are hearts in a rosebud trellis, cupid's darts, a chain of hearts and a unique double edging.

The shawl is knit starting from the middle top and increasing at the sides and middle to create a triangular shape. Lace is worked on one side only and the return rows are purled.

Design Details                   

Yarn requirements and measurements:
4 skeins of Artisan NZ Merino Lace Weight yarn (20 gram skein = 300 metres), three in a lighter colour and one in a darker or variegated colour for the edging.
Finished size is about 78 inches across the top and 42 inches down the middle centre.

Needles: 3.25 mm (US 3) 24" circular needles, or size to obtain gauge
