Fiddlesticks Knitting Patterns and Yarns
Simple Shetland lace knitting with minimal construction and sewing creates a softly feminine, versatile vest which suits many figure types. The pretty rosebud mesh pattern keeps the garment very light, making it perfect for transitional seasons.
The vest is worked in garter stitch from the bottom hem to the armholes, where it is divided for fronts and back. Fronts and back are worked separately in garter stitch, then after blocking the shoulder seams are sewn. The vest can be worn in a variety of ways, allowing the front facings to fold back for an attractive neckline. Sample is shown in Size 1 and Eucalyptus.
