Traditional Estonian lace patterns are used in a non-traditional way to create a contemporary, sophisticated wrap. Wear this stole over jeans or casual skirts, or add extra flair to a tailored suit—it will be simply elegant either way!

The stole is worked by knitting from one end to the other, repeating the charts for the desired length. This is a stocking stitch stole with garter stitch edges and lace worked on one side only. Sample shown in Pussywillow.

Design Details                   

Recommended yarn: 3 balls Fiddlesticks Knitting Exquisite (laceweight - 50% mulberry silk, 50% merino wool) each ball approx. 50 g / 500 m.
Finished size is 26 inches wide and 77 inches long.

Needles: 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles
or size needed to obtain gauge.
optional – 4 mm (US 6) or needles one size larger than gauge needles for casting on
