Trio Sonata - details

The triangle scarf is really a small shoulder shawl. Dress up an outfit or add some extra warmth without the cumbersome size of a full shawl. This scarf is worked by casting on all the stitches for the bottom edge then working to the middle top, decreasing on every second row.

The horizontal scarf is structured a bit differently to create the interesting side edges. Stitches are cast on for one long edge, then the scarf is worked sideways to the other edge, where a picot cast off attractively finishes it.

The rectangle scarf is created in a more conventional way, with stitches cast on at the bottom edge of each half, then worked to the middle where stitches are joined with a Russian Graft (explained in detail in the pattern).
