Whisper Scarves

The Whisper Scarves are soft wisps inspired by Orenburg lace patterns and both are included in one pattern. Each scarf uses only one ball of light-as-air baby kid mohair, or you can knit them longer by using an extra ball of yarn. The top scarf is an unusual oval shape and the bottom scarf is a rectangle. These are garter stitch scarves, but there is lace patterning on both sides.

These scarves are knit on 3.5 mm (US 4) to 4.5 mm (US 7) size needles, depending on whether you tend to knit looser or tighter.

These quick-to-knit scarves come in a lovely selection of colours. You may want to have more than one!

Yarn requirements and measurements:
Each scarf uses just one ball of Filatura di Crosa "Baby Kid Extra" (25 gram ball = 245 metres). Finished size is about 40 inches long and 15 inches wide.

Recommended for Intermediate lace knitters.

Recommended needle size:
3.5/4.5mm / US 4/7 with laceweight yarn.
