Woven Willow Vest
Fiddlesticks Knitting Patterns and Yarns

This willowy vest with its woven lace panel mimics an aran look, but is accomplished with yarnovers and twisted stitches. The vest is worked in the round from bottom edge to armholes, where it is divided for front and back. Ribbed edgings finish the armholes and neckline. Sample is shown in Size 1 and Mink.

Design Details                   

Recommended yarn: Light Worsted Weight yarn, 105 metres, 114 yds 50 gr.

Knitted measurements at bust and yarn requirements:
Size 1: 33 inches - 5 balls
Size 2: 36.5 inches - 6 balls
Size 3: 40 inches - 6 balls
Size 4: 45 inches - 7 balls
Size 5: 48.5 inches - 8 balls
Size 6: 53.5 inches - 8 balls

Needles (all circulars):
Sizes 1, 2 and 3:
• 3.75 mm (US 5) - 24 inches
• 4.5 mm (US 7) - 24 inches
Sizes 4, 5 and 6:
• 3.75 mm (US 5) - 32 inches
• 4.5 mm (US 7) - 32 inches
or sizes to obtain gauge

Gauge in k2 / p2 rib patern with 4.5mm (US7) needles: 4 inches = 18 stitches and 26.5 rows
